Note: faucet handles are intended for experimentation. Normally, when you register a sovereign handle through an operator, you hand over only your public key and they include it in the batch. The faucet pre-generates the key pairs itself and bundles them into a batch, so you can claim a handle that's already issued. The secret key is deleted from the faucet when you claim, but you can also rotate your key after.
1
Shuffle to pick a handle
Handles are built from the BIP-39 wordlist. These are the same 2,048 words used to generate Bitcoin seed phrases.
2
Pre-generated keypairs
Every handle is pre-assigned a Bitcoin keypair. The public keys (SPKs) are included in the Merkle tree before the batch is committed - that's how the entire 100M names fit in 32 bytes.
3
Claim = receive private key
When you claim, we hand you the private key and delete it from our server. You now have sole ownership - no one else can control your handle.
4
Yours forever
Once claimed, it's cryptographically yours. No annual fees, no registrar, no one can revoke it. Bind it on-chain and rotate the key, if you wish.
